Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, is encouraging Wealden residents to visit local establishments to enjoy the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme, which is now live.
From 3rd to 31st August, Wealden residents can enjoy a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks when dining in at local restaurants, cafés, bars or pubs that are registered with the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme.
The scheme, which is part of the Government’s Plan for Jobs that supports the country’s economic recovery from coronavirus, entitles customers to a discount covering up to a maximum of £10 per diner. You can use the scheme as many times as you like and it is valid every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until the end of the month.
Customers do not need a voucher to use this scheme and it can be used together with other offers and discounts. All diners in a group of any size can use the discount, but it cannot be claimed on alcoholic drinks or service charges.
More than 72,000 establishments across the UK are taking part, with 6,396 in the South East. Participating businesses include independent local eateries as well as chain restaurants and coffee shops.
Many favourite local pubs and restaurants across Wealden are taking part in the scheme and you can find out which places near you are registered for the scheme HERE.
Nus Ghani said: “This is a fantastic scheme for our hospitality sector to take part in. We are extremely fortunate to have so many excellent local cafés, pubs and restaurants in Wealden, who provide a huge and varied range of different, locally sourced foods and drinks. There has never been a better or more important time to visit our locals to support them and to boost our local economy.”
