Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, is inviting Wealden residents to get involved in UK Parliament Week.
UK Parliament Week (UKPW), an annual event spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how individuals, community groups, schools and organisations across the nation can get involved. UKPW is taking place this week, 6-12 November. Last year, over one million people took part in every nation and region of the UK, including in Wealden.
As well as exploring UK Parliament and ways to get involved, this year’s UKPW throws a spotlight on the various roles and people who help to keep our Parliament running.
Nusrat Ghani said: “UK Parliament Week is a great way to explore the role and work of Parliament and MPs and to learn about how to get involved and make a difference. Every year, it is fantastic to see many individuals, groups and organisations in Wealden take part in UK Parliament Week and I wish them all the best for the activities they have planned for the week ahead.”
