Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has been re-elected as Vice-Chair of the influential 1922 Committee.
Together with the Chair of the 1922 Committee, Sir Graham Brady MP, Nusrat will continue to provide a voice for Conservative backbench colleagues and oversee elections within the parliamentary Conservative party.
Nusrat Ghani said: "I am delighted to be re-elected as Vice Chair of the 1922 Committee and I thank my colleagues for their support. I oversaw the vote of confidence at the beginning of June as a neutral adjudicator, and I must remain as such to oversee the leadership contest over the coming weeks."
