An MP has praised a primary school for maintaining its strong performance during a recent Ofsted inspection.

Sussex Weald MP Nusrat Ghani visited White House Academy in Hailsham to commend staff and the leadership team following their latest ungraded Ofsted inspection.

The report confirmed that the school continues to meet 'Good' standards, highlighting its inclusive community and positive learning environment.

Ms Ghani said: "White House Academy is a fantastic asset to Hailsham, delivering an inclusive environment where pupils can thrive and be the best version of themselves."I was pleased to hear more about the positive outcome of the school’s latest ungraded inspection, which is a great testament to the hard work of the staff and leadership team and the high standards and expectations they have of the pupils."

During her visit, Ms Ghani met with acting headteacher Chloe Parks and representatives of the school’s Pupil Parliament.

She took part in a Q&A session where she spoke about her journey to Parliament and her responsibilities as MP for Sussex Weald and Chairman of Ways and Means.

Ms Ghani said: "It was lovely to catch up with representatives of the Pupil Parliament on their priorities for the school and discuss some of the ins and outs of the processes in the House of Commons chamber."

White House Academy, part of the STEP Academy Trust, currently educates 190 children aged four to 11.
