Recent progress:
- The UK has signed an historic fisheries agreement with Norway – the UK’s first since leaving the EU and first as an independent coastal state in 40 years. (Link)
- UK beef to be served on US plates for first time in over 20 years, with first exports commencing from a Northern Irish facility. (Link)
- The ban on supplying plastic straws and stirrers and plastic-stemmed cotton buds has come into force in England today, marking yet another major step in the Government’s fight against single-use plastic waste to protect our environment and clean up our oceans. (Link)
- PM commits to protect 30% of UK land in boost for biodiversity (Link)
- The Agriculture Bill completed its final stages in the House of Lords, moving yet another step closer to becoming UK law. (Link)

- We have announced an extension of the £5,000 grant scheme available to homes and businesses affected by flooding last winter. (Link)
- £40 million Green Recovery Challenge Fund: The fund, part of the government’s wider green economic recovery, jobs and skills package, brings forward funding for environmental charities and their partners to start work on projects across England to restore nature and tackle climate change. (Link)
