Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, continues to host virtual surgeries for Wealden constituents, to listen to their concerns and provide advice, help and representation.

For the duration of the second national lockdown in November, Nus held daily telephone surgeries with individuals and businesses that required urgent coronavirus support. Over the 28-day period, Nus has virtually met with representatives of Wealden schools, care homes, places of worship, the hospitality sector and other business owners who were impacted by the national restrictions.

Casework to cover urgent crisis support and advice also continues via emails and letters and is undertaken daily.

Nus Ghani said: “The pandemic continues to affect us all in Wealden and I continue to receive a huge amount of casework from constituents requiring help and advice. I continue to deal with cases daily and I am determined to keep virtual lines of communication open to everyone who needs urgent crisis support. If you are a Wealden resident and require my assistance, please email me at [email protected] or visit my website www.nusghani.org.uk for information regarding Coronavirus.”

When I was campaigning for your vote during the election, I promised that I would be accountable to you. When you did me the honour of electing me as Wealden's MP and it was time to give my maiden speech in the House of Commons, I pledged to follow the advice of Winnie the Pooh when he said that "You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes."
