Wadhurst Surgery

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden has presented Belmont surgery in Wadhurst with the Wealden Hero Award.

The Belmont Surgery in Wadhurst is part of Wadhurst Medical Group with a sister surgery in Ticehurst. The surgery continued to operate during the Covid crisis, and its fantastic team of staff continued to see patients face to face and working in partnership with local surgeries and pharmacies in keeping the patients safe. The doctors, nurses, healthcare, and practice team provided an incredibly successful flu campaign, vaccinating nearly 1,000 people in a day, adapting to unique ways of working with brand new technology and rising to the challenges of the pandemic.

Nusrat Ghani said: “Our GP practices had to adapt rapidly to the constantly changing situation at the start of the pandemic and I am incredibly grateful to the fantastic team at Belmont surgery in Wadhurst for continuing to provide care and service to Wadhurst residents. Thank you for your tireless dedication and teamwork to keep Wadhurst safe throughout the pandemic and beyond!”
