WineGB Awards are an annual showcase of of Britain’s best wines and winemakers. With a record number of wines entered this year and the highest ever number of producers entering from all over the country, the judging took place in June, and Bluebell Vineyard near Uckfield has scooped up several awards.

This included a Trophy for Hindleap Rose 2016 sparkling rose; Gold medals for its Barrel Aged Blanc de Blancs 2017 sparkling white and Classic Cuvée Multi Vintage sparkling white; Silver medals for the Ashdown Valley View 2020 still wine, Hindleap Blanc de Blancs 2015 sparkling white, Hindleap Pinot Meunier 2019 sparkling white, and Hindleap Seyval Blanc 2020 sparkling white; and Bronze medal for Ashdown Rose 2020 still rose.

Nusrat Ghani said: “Bluebell Vineyard is a fine example of some of the best quality wines produced in the UK and it is wonderful to see them prosper and being recognised by these prestigious awards. I am enormously proud that Wealden is the home of so many exceptional vineyards and I will always champion our local winemakers, who work incredibly hard all year round to produce their excellent, award-winning products while also providing significant job opportunities for local communities.”
