Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, is inviting permanent residents of local park homes sites to check eligibility and apply for a dedicated Warm Home Discount scheme, which is now open for applications.
Payments of £150 have been made available to eligible park home residents who do not have a direct relationship with an energy supplier and instead pay the site owners for their electricity usage. Park Homes Warm Home Discount is a multi-supplier initiative which is Ofgem approved and regulated.
Funding is limited so the scheme will operate on a first come, first served basis until all monies are allocated. Payments are then made directly into successful applicants' bank accounts by the end of March 2024. Applicants need to be permanently living in a park home, and either receive government support or benefits, or have a household income below £18,723.
Residents can apply through an online application process via the following link: www.charisgrants.com/partners/park-homes/.
Nusrat Ghani said: “The record levels of financial support from the Government over the past year and a half have already supported thousands of local families and made a huge difference many vulnerable and low-income households in Wealden. The Government is committed to continue supporting households across the country, but alongside this support, I welcome additional schemes like the Warm Home Discount. This support could be a crucial lifeline for local residents permanently living in park homes, so I would encourage everyone in Wealden who believes they may be eligible to access payments of £150 to apply as soon as possible.”
