Nusrat Ghani, MP for Sussex Weald, has marked the 2026 Winnie-the-Pooh Day - A.A.Milne's birthday (18 January).
The 18 January is National Winnie the Pooh Day, a day that celebrates the birthday of the author of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, A. A. Milne.
Nusrat Ghani said: "It is a huge privilege to represent the home of Winnie-the-Pooh in Parliament. This beautiful story has put our beautiful village Hartfield on the map as people from all over the world visit to explore the original Poohsticks Bridge in the Hundred Acre Wood based in the jewel of our countryside Ashdown Forest. Happy birthday to A.A. Milne, and a huge thank you for giving us the chance to enjoy the wonderful world of Winnie the Pooh."
