Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, visited Chapter 12 Bar and Kitchen in Hailsham, to show her support for local businesses and to help promote their new menu.
Chapter 12 is a local, family run business, which can be found on Hailsham High Street, recently nominated for the Great British High Street Awards. The new menu at Chapter 12 combines some of the best local Sussex produce, sourced from local food producers, vineyards & breweries.
The locally sourced produce used in the new menu comes from local businesses such as Abby & Thad of Pea Pod Veg only 0.6 miles away and Steve & Phil of Hook & Son Farms just 0.7 miles from Chapter 12. Other local producers are Jenny McCuthcan of Wilbees Sussex Honey, Kevin & Alison of Golden Cross Cheese Ltd, Becky, Cliff & Julie Dyball of the Traditional Cheese Dairy, Highweald Dairy, Gun Hill Poultry Farm and Burts Bakery Seaford.
All the wonderful local produce is brought together in the Chapter 12 Bar and Kitchen to create a fantastic seasonal menu, comprising of dishes which include Salt baked Squash, Chicken, Leek & Tarragon Pie, The ‘Hailsham Heard’ Beef Burger and the Sussex Cheese Board.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “It was lovely to meet Bailey and Georgie at Chapter 12 to help them promote their new menu.
