Wealden MP Nus Ghani visited Ashdown Primary School in Crowborough with Wealden District Council Leader Cllr Bob Standley.
Nus met with several classes to congratulate them on their recent Key Stage 2 results and have a Questions and Answers session, covering a range of topics including the environment and questions about faith.
Year 5 classes Blackthorn and Birch have been studying democracy and Parliament recently, so invited Nus to come and talk about her day-to-day job as their Member of Parliament and to promote their campaigns they are running in class.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “I had a great time visiting Ashdown Primary School and meeting their enthusiastic and passionate pupils.
“It was a pleasure to be able to talk to them about my job as the MP for Wealden, and what I do to make sure Crowborough’s voice is heard on the national stage, and answer their wonderful and inquisitive questions.
“I’m looking forward to hosting them in Parliament soon, and thanks must go to the teachers for inviting me and for their all their hard work in providing a fantastic education to the next generation.”
