With the new school term due to start Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden will once again reach out to all schools across Wealden to facilitate educational and inspiring tours of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Nus Ghani said ‘I encourage all Wealden schools to visit Parliament for a tour and always enjoy having the opportunity to meet with local students in my place of work to share with them the mother of all Parliaments and discuss my role as a legislator, campaigner and the voice for Wealden in the Commons. Over 30 school groups have taken up to offer to visit Parliament and I look forward to welcoming many more in the future.
I also regularly visit primary and secondary schools across Wealden and find working with schools and meeting the fantastic teachers and students one of the most rewarding parts of being an MP. I have visited dozens of schools in the constituency and it is always fantastic to be able to have discussions with the students about the issues that concern them most and answer any questions they may have about politics and their local MP. It is also incredibly important to recognise the vital work of teachers and discuss fairer funding in local schools and how I am able to support them’.
