Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, was thrilled to hear that Sussex Army Cadet Force (ACF) has been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given in recognition of outstanding work done by volunteer groups in their communities across the country. Sussex ACF has 820 cadets and 194 adult volunteers based at 25 locations across Sussex.  The award will be presented to Sussex ACF by the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex on behalf of Her Majesty later this year. If you are interested in learning more about Sussex ACF please see https://armycadets.com/county/sussex-acf/

Nus Ghani said "I was delighted to hear that Sussex ACF's tremendous work has been rightly recognised by this award.  As President of the Crowborough Air Cadets, I have always been inspired by of the hard work undertaken by those who work in these organisations and the invaluable contribution they make to their local community. The life skills and opportunities that such organisations offer are indispensable and I would recommend joining a local cadet group to any young person."

Standing Up For Our Armed Forces

The security of the United Kingdom and the British people depends on many things, not least our economic security, but ultimately we depend on the British Armed Forces to keep us safe at home and abroad. I consider it my first duty to do whatever I have to do to keep the people of Wealden safe. One of the best ways in which I can do that is to support and stand up for our Armed Forces in Parliament.
