I am delighted to announce that Jacqui Kerwin has awarded the Wealden Hero Award this week.
Jacqui manages the Laurel Tree Farm Shop in Boarshead. As her colleague Sylvia was obliged to self-isolate at the beginning of the pandemic, Jacqui has kept the farm shop open throughout the lockdown period all by herself, six days a week. Her dedication to keep the shop open whilst keeping the customers safe and implementing social distancing has been greatly appreciated by the customers, who have not only sent their thanks to Jacqui and the farm owner, but also sent many lovely nominations to Nus Ghani for Jacqui to receive the award.
