Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, was delighted to attend Islamic Relief UK’s Parliamentary Eid Reception hosted by the Lord Sarfraz.
The reception marked the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, and the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is an important time of year for Muslims, and every year Islamic Relief community donates millions during this period to help those less fortunate. Last year Islamic Relief raised over £17.8m through the Ramadan campaign alone – an astonishing sum, which goes towards supporting the most vulnerable communities both abroad and in the UK.
