Dear resident,
I hope you had a nice half term break and enjoyed some of the sunshine that we've had recently. With February coming to a close and the days getting longer, it certainly feels like spring is finally on its way to Sussex Weald.
π Since my last update, we've had some positive news regarding the campaign to increase mobile service coverage at Wadhurst train station. Following my representations to UK's major network providers, I'm pleased to have secured improvements from O2, who have recently installed a microcell at the station, significantly improving coverage for their customers. I look forward to my upcoming meeting with Vodafone to discuss what more can be done to get the situation improved.
π Following my meeting with the Transport Secretary, I was pleased to also catch up with the Minister for Local Transport on plans to improve connectivity in Sussex Weald, advocate for more resources for our infrastructure and make representations for more funding for our local rail network and step free access at Wadhurst station, having secured multi-million pound improvements at Crowborough and Eridge train stations previously.
I continue working with our local authorities, organisations and businesses and I'm pleased that there's been a lot of exciting things happening in the constituency. Please click on each image below to read more about what I've been up toππ½

π¬π§ Visit Parliament π¬π§
Iβm always keen to ensure that our democracy and Parliament is as open as possible, which is why I have welcomed hundreds of Sussex Weald constituents, local teachers and students, charity volunteers and businesses to Westminster over the past ten years. There are several ways you can take advantage of the unique experience of exploring the beating heart of our democracy, and as your MP, I would be happy to assist you in arranging a visit free of charge. Please note that I am only able to assist with the booking of the tour itself and all travel to Parliament must be covered by visitors themselves separately.
If you are interested in a tour of the Palace of Westminster and live in Sussex Weald constituency, please get in touch with me via my website ππ½ www.nusghani.org.uk/visitparliament ππ½ and I would be happy to assist.

The Government has recently accepted proposals from East Sussex County Council and neighbouring West Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council to establish a Mayoral Combined County Authority for Sussex as part of the Government plans for devolution.
A public consultation has been launched and will run until 13th April.
I appreciate that there are strong feelings on the matter amongst local residents. Taking part in the consultation is the best way to express them. You can do so here ππ½ https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/sussex-and-brighton-devolution
