Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, attended the Annual General Meeting of the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.
She spoke about a number of topical national and international issues including the P&O saga, the Spring budget and the troubles in Ukraine. Wealden was ranked 5th nationally for support of Ukrainian displaced families. She has put forward Uckfield as a destination for a national rail museum, although so have many others! Questions followed from the floor including the added support needed for smaller charities and the need to encourage better recruitment with many Wealden vacancies being unfilled.
