This week is Dementia Action Week.
As part of the Week, Wealden Dementia Action Alliance in association with the Uckfield Dementia Forum has put together some ‘Dementia Friendly goody bags’. Organising events this year has been a little difficult with the Covid-19 restrictions, so the goody bags are designed to bring activities and information to those living with dementia.
The goody bags can be collected from the Town Council office in the Civic Centre.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, is working in partnership with Rotherfield St Martin charity and Wealden Dementia Action Alliance to raise awareness about dementia during this year’s Dementia Awareness Week.
Rotherfield St Martin (RSM) is a community-led charity dedicated to providing support for older people living in Rotherfield and surrounding areas. There are currently over 10,000 people living with dementia in East Sussex. 17-23 May is national Dementia Awareness Week and Rotherfield St Martin (RSM) are organising a range of activities encouraging people to learn more about dementia, break down the stigma and spread awareness about support available through the charity.
