Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed the Government's response to the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee's Industrial Policy report (which was published on 28th June 2021). The response can be viewed here.

Commenting on the Government’s response published today, Darren Jones, Chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee, said:

“To help deliver clean growth and high-quality jobs, the Government needs to do more to demonstrate long-term clear leadership on industrial policy. Ministers are too often guilty of approaching industrial policy without any clarity or consistency.

“It’s also important that Ministers in Westminster work with devolved governments and regional leaders to come forward with meaningful metrics and regular, annual reporting on progress towards shared industrial goals across the union”.
