Nus Ghani, the MP for Wealden, joined Hartfield and Wealden locals at the Hartfield Village Fete.
The Hartfield Village Fete is an annual community-run event that brings together friends and families from around Hartfield, for a day full of entertainment, stalls, sideshows and this year included a dog show.
One of the stalls at this year’s fete honoured the centenary of women getting the vote for the first time, a momentous anniversary that Nus has marked throughout the year with various events across Wealden.
A family-orientated day, the Village Fete is growing in popularity each year and is now one of the best attended community event in Wealden.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “I had a wonderful time at the Hartfield Village Fete. It’s always an enjoyable atmosphere, and I’d like to thank everyone on the Hartfield Fete Committee as well as the sponsors who made it all possible.
“As the first female MP for Wealden, I enjoyed stopping by the stall celebrating the centenary of women winning the vote for the first time, a momentous occasion in our history.
“It’s fantastic to see local Wealden women celebrating this anniversary and I was delighted to join in.”
