Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has virtually met with outgoing Wealden District Inspector Jon Gross and his successor, Inspector Kendal Wells to discuss policing, crime and future plans for Wealden.

Inspector Gross has been policing Wealden since 2017, after nearly three decades of service with the police in Sussex. As Inspector of the Wealden Neighbourhood Police Team, he has been covering policing, rural policing, cybercrime, county lines, domestic violence and littering issues in the area and keeping in regular contact with Nus to share updates and improvements.

Nus Ghani said: “I am incredibly grateful to Sussex Police for their hard work during this time of national emergency. I am pleased that Sussex Police remain committed to ensuring they have visible presence in Wealden, and I have been in regular contact with Sussex Police, our District Commander and Inspector Gross to discuss individual cases of constituents, farmers, and local businesses who have reached out to me regarding local crime. I am grateful to Inspector Gross for his fantastic work to keep our communities in Wealden safe. I wish him all the best for his future endeavours, and I look forward to working with Inspector Wells on how we can continue to make Wealden a safer place to live.”
