Nus Ghani speaks during a debate on International Women's Day 2021

Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, spoke in the House of Commons during its debate to celebrate International Women's Day 2021. Nus said that the mood of the House has been dictated by the actions of men and not by the achievements of women. That’s the reality of our lives - that the actions of men dictates our lives and choices.

So she chose to celebrate some truly remarkable women, both in Wealden and internationally. Codebreakers and confidants, vaccine heroines, and an incredibly brave human rights campaigner.
