Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, is supporting this year’s virtual careers fair organised annually by Hailsham Community College and welcomed students, businesses and higher education institutions at the event.
To conclude National Careers week, Hailsham Community College held their annual Careers Fair virtually today (Friday 5 March). A great range of local businesses and apprenticeship providers, as well as further education institutes, emergency services and charities have come together to present the various career paths in a multitude of different disciplines to students.
Nus has been a champion of the event every year, attending in person and working closely with Hailsham Community College's Careers Advisor Jennie Cole to secure a wide range of opportunities for young people in Wealden. This year, Nus was part of the Live Chat Room, where students could ask questions to all attending organisations.
Nus Ghani said: “I am proud to be championing this fantastic event, which exhibits local work opportunities and inspires the future career choices of our students. The Careers Fair has always been a huge success in the past and this year was no different. I am very grateful to Hailsham Community College for continuing to provide this excellent service and to the range of excellent employers for taking part and presenting the wonderful opportunities for young people to excel in Wealden and beyond. It was great to see the curiosity of our local students and the connections they have made with employers from all over the country.”
