Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has congratulated Fletching Church of England Primary School on the 150th anniversary of its current school building this year.
The school is having a year-long celebrations to mark this wonderful milestone and celebrate the school’s rich history, before further celebrations take place in January 2024 to mark 200 years since the school has been founded.
Nusrat Ghani said: “Fletching Primary School is an outstanding asset to Wealden right at the heart of the local community, and it is much valued by local parents. After many months of meetings and campaigning, I was delighted to help secure the future of the school and avert threats of closure in 2019, and I am incredibly pleased to see it continue to thrive. I greatly appreciate all the work that Fletching teachers, leaders and support staff do every single day to ensure that our children have the very best possible environment to learn in, enabling every child to unlock their potential and gain the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their future dreams and be successful in life.”
