Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has congratulated Rishi Sunak on becoming the UK's Prime Minister today (Tuesday 25 October).

Nusrat Ghani said: "Congratulations to Rishi Sunak on becoming our Prime Minister today. It is a huge and historic day for our party and country. I was pleased to back him in the contest and I know that he will inspire so many generations. We now have an uphill task to deliver for our country. It’s time to leave the party division behind and focus on delivering with integrity, professionalism and accountability for the welfare of residents in Wealden and nationwide."
