Nusrat Ghani said: “I was pleased to support a wonderful group of local hikers who have given up their sunny afternoon to walk 6 miles through our beautiful Wealden countryside around Eridge in order to raise funds for the work of World in Need. Having taken place on the Ashdown Forest in previous years, the walk is an annual opportunity to get together, enjoy the beautiful scenery and raise some vital funds for projects around the world to help those most desperately in need of support.”
WIN International CEO David Goodchild said: “We are very grateful for the opportunity to walk in the beautiful countryside around Eridge with some supporters of World in Need. World in Need works with ten different countries and with some of the poorest people around the world, supporting projects seeing particularly children lifted out of poverty and given a chance to have an education. It is wonderful to walk in our part of the world, but to think about others who are in less fortunate situations in other parts of the world, and we can play our part to make a difference.”
