Oaklands Care Home

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has visited Oaklands Court residential care home with nursing in Horam to meet its team and learn more about the services they provide to their residents.

Oaklands Court is a 43-bed capacity residential care home with nursing, situated a short walk away from Horam High Street. It is part of Chanctonbury Healthcare which provides different levels of care across its three homes in Horam, Polegate and Weymouth. Oaklands Court offers private rooms for every resident as well as large communal spaces, which ensures not only a bespoke 24-hour care tailored to individual needs and requirements, but also a wide range of activities to help residents stay active and engaged.

The facility is a key provider of jobs in Horam and the surrounding area, and supports Wealden farms and suppliers by sourcing local produce where possible.

Oaklands Court currently has bed availability for look after nursing, residential and palliative care for long term and short-term admissions. For further information, please call 01435 813030 or visit www.chanctonbury-care.com/oaklands-court.

Nusrat Ghani said: “Oaklands Court plays an important role in the community both as a provider of a nurturing home for elder residents, and as a local employer. I was pleased to visit and see the excellent work that the team do to ensure that residents are given the specialist care they need and a safe home. I recognise the extraordinary commitment and compassion of our social care staff and I continue working with East Sussex County Council and Wealden District Council to ensure that the capacity of our care and nursing homes is fully utilised to help alleviate some of the pressures on local health infrastructure, while ensuring Wealden residents are receiving the best possible care.”
