Furniture Now!

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, took part in the opening of the newly renovated Furniture Now! store on Hailsham High Street on Monday 14 March, alongside the Mayor of Hailsham, Councillor Paul Holbrook and CEO, Michael Ryan.

Furniture Now! is a non-profit social enterprise which has served Wealden District residents for over 26 years. Furniture Now supplies a range of low-cost, high-quality furniture and electricals, and a percentage of its annual surplus is redistributed locally to charities and voluntary groups via the community grants scheme.

The new store not only comes with a beneficial size over two floors but also with history, as the premises has listed building status as well as previously being visited by royalty.

Nusrat Ghani said: “I am pleased to welcome Furniture Now! to Hailsham High Street. The new store is easily accessible and boasts a wide range of fantastic, low-cost furniture and appliances. Furniture Now! is a fantastic initiative encouraging Wealden residents to recycle and reuse, while also reinvesting back into our communities and I look forward to watching it thrive in this exciting new location.”
