Youth Investment Fund

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed the launch of Phase 2 of the Government’s Youth Investment Fund (YIF) and is calling on local organisations to apply.

The YIF is the Government's £380 million fund designed to create, improve and expand local youth facilities and services across the country, to support young people’s health, wellbeing and skills for work and life.

Following the launch of Phase 1 in January 2022, £12 million has been distributed amongst 418 eligible projects in England. The £368 million main phase of YIF opened on 1 August 2022 and will be considering applications on a rolling basis. Youth services across 45 local authorities and more than 600 district wards, including Wealden constituency are eligible.

To check eligibility, please click here and apply at www.youthinvestmentfund.org.uk.

Nusrat Ghani said: “I am proud to have successfully campaigned to secure Government funding for Wealden organisations throughout the pandemic, but further support is needed and I am pleased that the Government is putting more money into improving access to youth services. Support from the Youth Investment Fund will make a positive difference to the way youth projects deliver their crucial work and I encourage eligible organisations in Wealden to submit an application.”
