Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has caught up with Paul Harvey, the director of Weald Pod Radio, a new radio station launching in The Weald.

Weald Pod Radio is a new digital radio station, launching to keep residents of Kent and Sussex you up to date with what is happening throughout the area through a combination of live radio shows and podcasts available ‘on demand’.

To support its launch, Nusrat was delighted to be one of the first guests at Weald-Pod Radio highlighting the beauty of Wealden towns and countryside, discussing the role of Wealden constituency in The Weald as a whole, and discussing issues across the region such as litter, fly-tipping and broadband issues. Nusrat Ghani said: “Our local radio stations are invaluable assets and play key roles in our communities. They provided a lifeline to many Wealden residents throughout the pandemic, sharing important information and latest guidelines. I work very closely with our fantastic local community radio stations Hailsham FM and Uckfield FM and enjoy my monthly catch ups on air with Uckfield FM to discuss local matters and national campaigns. I am pleased that we have a new radio station in the area, available digitally and on demand. It was a pleasure catching up with Weald Pod Radio about my work in Parliament and in the constituency and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
