Improvement works have been ongoing at the store during the Summer
Waitrose in Crowborough has fully re-opened following the refurbishment work. Aisles have been widened to help improve the customer experience, the bakery area has been expanded and new ranges have been added including dry aged meat and homeware.
The cafe area has also been expanded, along with more self service checkouts.
The work has been welcomed by Wealden MP, Nus Ghani who said, “I’m a regular customer at Crowborough Waitrose and I’m pleased to see these fantastic upgrades to its facilities and expanded meat counters and bakery section. Wider isles mean safer and more accessible shopping environment, more product selection for customers and greater opportunities to support our fantastic local smaller, independent growers and suppliers. The fantastic new café provides a perfect meeting place for Crowborough residents and visitors to enjoy a cup of tea and cake in the centre of town. I have previously held my surgeries in local Waitrose stores, and I look forward to resuming face-to-face meetings across Wealden again.”
