Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, is supporting this year’s virtual careers fair, organised annually by Hailsham Community College.
As part of the National Careers week, Hailsham Community College is hosting their annual Careers Fair virtually this Friday, 5 March. Videos and information from local businesses, apprenticeships and further education institutes will be available throughout the day, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to all of the organisations and businesses attending.
Nus has been a champion of the event every year, attending in person and working closely with Hailsham Community College's Careers Advisor Jennie Cole to secure a wide range of opportunities for young people in Wealden. This year is no different and Nus will be part of the Live Chat Room, starting at 1pm.
The event is open to all the community as well as students and parents and registration is still open.
To register use this link and find the registration button at the bottom of the webpage: https://learnliveuk.com/partner/hailsham-community-college/.
Ahead of the event, Nus created a video of support. Click here to watch it.
Nus Ghani said: “I am proud to be championing this fantastic event and I am very grateful to Hailsham Community College for continuing to provide this excellent service. The Careers Fair exhibits various work opportunities locally and nationally, broadens the horizons of our young people and inspires their future career choices. The Careers Fair has always been a huge success in the past and I’m sure that this year will be different. I look forward to meeting the students on Friday and I encourage them to explore as many options as they can, as they are deciding what their next path will be.”
