Hailsham FM

I am delighted to announce that the last recipients of the Wealden Hero Awards are the teams at Hailsham FM and Uckfield FM.

Wealden’s radio stations are outstanding community assets, run by local people for local people. The work and success of Hailsham FM depends on a fantastic team of volunteers of all ages, who dedicate their time to ensuring that their listeners have the most up to date information and know whom to contact for support.

After Hailsham FM’s Stephen Dann was crowned Wealden Hero for his efforts throughout the pandemic, I have received many emails from Wealden residents, nominating the whole team at the station for their crucial role in the community.

Our community radio stations are real lifelines to many constituents and the fantastic team at Hailsham FM rightly deserves to be crowned Wealden Heroes.
