Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has visited the new Home Bargains store near Uckfield to celebrate its recent opening.
A new Home Bargains based at the Ashdown Business Park near Uckfield opened earlier this year. The new 16 sq.ft store is one of the 600 Home Bargains stores across the country, and over 45 new jobs have been created in the community with the opening, 42 of which are new hires.
The new store offers fresh and frozen food, drinks, snacks, heath essentials, homeware and more. The opening hours are Monday-Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and on Sundays from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Nusrat Ghani said: “I was delighted to visit the new Home Bargains store recently, meet some of the staff and see all of the products available. I’ve supported and attended the public consultations, and so I’m pleased new stores have opened at Ashdown Business Park like Home Bargains in January and Marks & Spencer in November, bringing multiple job opportunities to the area. This new store in Uckfield is a great boost for the local economy, and I’m pleased to see its popularity with the local community. I’m glad to see that these readily available facilities are supporting local shopping, and welcome its fully accessible shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.”
