Bluebell Walk

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, was pleased to return to Arlington to visit the Bluebell Walk at Bates Green Farm.

The Bluebell Walk is a long-established family asset managed by John McCutchan with the support of The Bluebell Walk Advisory Group and many local charities. It was his wife, the late Carolyn McCutchan who first came up with the idea of opening Beatons Wood to the public in 1972 and since then, the trail has developed into several walks over three working farms.

The very popular circular walk of just under a mile in Beatons Wood offers spectacular vistas of bluebells established over centuries. The walk is suitable for wheelchair users and there are seats for visitors to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the oak and hornbeam ancient wood.

The Bluebell Walk is currently open every day between 10am-5pm until 14th May. For more information and daily updates, visit www.bluebellwalk.co.uk.

Nusrat Ghani said: “Arlington Bluebell Walk is a fantastic local gem, accessible to all visitors and raising vital funds for many local charities every year. I enjoy visiting and learning about the rich history of the farm and it was fantastic to see the bluebells in full bloom, transforming the wood into a magical refuge. If you can, do visit the farm and enjoy spectacular views while supporting local businesses and charities.”
