Nusrat Ghani, MP for Sussex Weald, was pleased to meet with the founders of Two Tails Taproom, to learn about the exciting plans for the opening of its permanent home on Heathfield High Street.
The fantastic team behind the business, Deena & Colin Gilham, have been running pop-up events at Union Church and have been working hard to transform the former independent womenswear and clothing boutique at 37 High Street into a permanent base.
Once open, Two Tails Taproom, which already enjoys wide support from local residents, will not only be Heathfield’s first drink-led venue in the town centre, but also the first and only micropub anywhere in the Wealden district.
The new venue will allow more community events and provide a welcoming space for residents to enjoy the best of locally sourced beer, wine, cider and spirits from independent Sussex producers.
Nusrat Ghani said: “Pubs are at the heart of our local communities, boosting our local economy, serving the best of our local produce, and providing a safe, friendly space for socialising. I am delighted that Deena and Colin are putting Heathfield on the map as the home of Wealden’s first micropub and I’m pleased to support them along the way.
