More funding has been made available to Wealden artists through Arts Council England.
Farleys House & Gallery in Muddles Green and Lost Dog Dance Company in Laughton are amongst the successful recipients of the latest round of grants provided via the Culture Recovery Fund (CRF). In this round, 925 recipients are receiving a share of £107 million, with awards going to arts, culture, heritage organisations and independent cinemas up and down the country.
Both Farleys House & Gallery and Lost Dog Dance have benefited from previous rounds of funding announced in October 2020 and April 2021, alongside the Picture House in Uckfield, Hailsham Pavilion, the Lavender Line and Sussex Archaeological Society.
Between January and July 2021, the Arts Council also invested a total of £52,622 in Wealden via the Developing Your Creative Practice and the National Lottery Project Grants funding schemes. This funding was distributed amongst several Wealden musicians, performers, choreographers, singers and researchers to aid with projects such as studio equipment, theatre production development, choir training, book writing and script writing.
