Hailsham Active

Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has met with representatives of Hailsham Active and local councillors to discuss plans for new sports hub on the outskirts of Hailsham.

As part of the plan to introduce more sports to Wealden, a new community sports hub is being considered for construction on land North of the Boship Roundabout on the A267. The proposals include a range of recreational opportunities for organised team sports, informal sports and leisure spaces.

As part of the public consultation, Hailsham Active are submitting proposals for further facilities to be included in the plan, and invited Nusrat to hear their views.

Nusrat Ghani said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has emphasised the value we place on our physical and mental health and I welcome investment in new sports and community facilities in Wealden. I’m pleased to have met with Steve Wennington from Hailsham Active and local County Councillor for Hailsham Gerard Fox to discuss ideas on how these plans would best meet current and future needs of Hailsham residents.”
