Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, was delighted to be a guest speaker at the October meeting of the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.
At the well-attended meeting convened to support local businesses and discuss issues that impact trade and commerce, Nusrat was pleased to virtually address room and discuss local and national economy, job security, cost of living and the current Government support available to businesses. Business leaders also had the opportunity to voice their concerns regarding access to childcare, market stability and current consumer spending patterns.
Nusrat Ghani said: “Small businesses in Wealden are the backbone of our local economy in Wealden and I was pleased to join Uckfield’s fantastic businesses and address their concerns regarding the cost of living, stability of markets, consumer spending and availability of childcare to parents. Uckfield Chamber of Commerce is an important organisation locally, boasting a diverse range of businesses. I work closely with them as well as the Hailsham and Crowborough Chambers and I look forward to the next in-person meeting.”
