Vaccination centre Brighton

Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed the opening of a new vaccination centre at Brighton Centre this week.

This week’s launch of the vaccination centre at Brighton Centre will provide additional capacity and enable the NHS to protect as many people as possible in the coming weeks. The centre is available for the wider population across Sussex and gives those in the top four priority groups another option to receive their vaccine, in addition to their local GP-led vaccination service.

The national NHS booking service will be writing to eligible patients living within 60 miles of a vaccination centre, inviting them to book an appointment at the centre online or over the phone. The letter contains all the details people will need to book their appointment.

Anyone receiving a letter from the national booking service can choose whether to book an appointment at the vaccination centre, or wait until they are contacted by their GP for an appointment at their local vaccination service if that would be more convenient.

Appointments cannot be booked directly with the Brighton Centre and residents are asked not to contact the centre or Brighton and Hove City Council directly.

Nus Ghani said: “Covid vaccinations are now fully underway in Wealden and I am pleased that so many people in the area have already received the vaccine. With sites now available in Uckfield, Crowborough and Hailsham, as well as our nearest hospitals, more Wealden residents will be invited for the jab in the coming days. The Brighton centre is a fantastic addition to our vaccination capacity and will provide an opportunity for those that can travel further than their local GP surgery to access the vaccine at another location. Please remember that no one will be forgotten, and all eligible patients will be contacted by the NHS for vaccinations when it is their turn.”
