Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, has welcomed Santander’s continuing commitment and investment in Uckfield High Street, following the Uckfield branch’s refurbishment and re-opening last week.
Nus Ghani visited to branch to meet with Anthony Brand, the branch manager of the Uckfield branch, to see the new services on offer.
The Uckfield branch is the latest of Santander’s branches to be re-designed as part of a commitment to deliver better customer service and community-friendly banking.
Work on the new branch took five weeks to complete and facilities include Express Banking with a new ATM wall, counter services for more secure transactions as well as private interview rooms.
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden, said: “Local bank branches still hold an important place in the heart of our high streets, and it’s great to see Santander demonstrate their commitment to their Uckfield branch.
“A counter-based, people-facing service is still vital for so many of my constituents, and it’s important that people have the option of using in-branch banking, even while online banking continues to grow.”
