Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, is supporting a new campaign to help tackle littering in her East Sussex constituency.
Wealden District Council has launched the “Do the right thing!” campaign to address the noticeable increase in litter across the district and highlight how costly littering is to the taxpayer, the environment, and local wildlife. As part of this campaign, additional new general waste and dog waste bins will be installed across the area.
Looking after the environment is one of Nusrat’s top priorities. She works closely with the Ashdown Forest Conservators, the Ashdown Forest Rangers and the CEO of the Ashdown Forest on ways how to prevent littering and dog fouling in the Forest and she has previously volunteered with Brighter Crowborough group who help pick up litter and help keep Wealden clean.
