The deadline is approaching for entries to this year's Christmas card competition run by the MP for Wealden.
Pupils at every primary school across the district are invited to submit an entry, and the winning design will be featured on Nusrat Ghani’s official Christmas card.
It will be delivered to hundreds of people across Wealden, as well as nationally and internationally – including to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the President of the United States, Jo Biden.
The theme for the drawing or design is ‘What Christmas means to me’.
- Drawings can use any medium such as pencil, felt tip, crayon or paint
- they should be completed on A4 paper (either portrait or landscape-oriented is fine)
- the child’s full name, school, and class or year group should be written on the back
- the design must be an original piece of work.

“My Christmas card competition has been in place since 2015, but due to the pandemic it had to be paused last year. I’m so pleased to be relaunching it again this year and celebrate Wealden schools and students. Every year it gets more difficult to choose a winner as there are so many outstanding creations and I expect it to be no different this winter. I hope it brings a little early Christmas cheer to Wealden pupils and I look forward to receiving all their festive designs.”
The closing date is Friday, October 22.
Entries should be sent to: Nusrat Ghani MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA. Alternatively, email [email protected] to arrange collection from school.
