Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden, has met with Wealden resident and The Menopause School Representative Sally Kitchen, to learn more about their work and projects.
It is estimated that there are around 13 million women who are currently perimenopausal or menopausal in the UK. The Menopause School is a Community Interest Company which aims to raise awareness about how the monthly hormone cycle impacts people’s health, physically and mentally.
The Menopause School created an original and creative program of education and awareness training sessions for the community as well as health and care professionals about menstruation and menopause, which will enable an early intervention approach leading to better patient outcomes.
Nusrat Ghani said: “I was pleased to meet with Sally to learn more about the The Menopause School’s work and discuss the potential for training sessions and seminars in Wealden. I look forward to working with my neighbouring parliamentary colleagues on supporting the initiative across East Sussex.”
