Nus contributed to a Westminster Hall debate concerning the recent performance of Southern Rail. Nus asked whether the Transport Select Committee will consider launching inquiries into Southern, if Southern and Network Rail will regularly meet with passengers to listen to their concerns and to urge Southern and RMT to call off next week's proposed 5-day rail strike. In her capacity as Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on older people, Nus was delighted to meet, and speak to, representatives of AgeUK at their inaugural event at Speaker's House, to discuss how Parliament can better represent the needs of older people across the country.
Nus appeared on Uckfield FM, as Tony Williams' guest on the Morning Show. She spoke about her visits to local schools, charities and businesses, as well as addressing the problems faced by rail commuters.
Nus was delighted to attend a local event to formally recognise the excellent and forward-thinking businesses that exist nearby. She congratulated Neva Consultants on their well-deserved award!
As part of her drive to visit local schools, Nus visited Mayfield School, attended assembly and spoke to the pupils about their future aspirations, as well as the life as an MP.
Nus came to show her support for a community fun day in Jarvis Brook. It was an excellent opportunity to meet constituents and enjoy a wonderful local event.
