Supporting Charities across Sussex Weald

Our charities are playing a crucial role in our communities, supporting those who are most in need. In a year of unprecedented disruption, we relied upon our charities more than ever. I'm the patron of Hospice in the Weald and have previously worked with many local charities, including the following organisations:

I am also working in partnership with Rotherfield St Martin charity and Wealden Dementia Action Alliance to raise awareness about dementia and leading the way in making our communities dementia friendly. I have proudly signed up to the Dementia Charter and I hope many businesses and organisations will follow suit.

🎗️Securing funding for our charities

Sixteen charities in Wealden received funding from the £200m Coronavirus Community Support Fund in November 2020, totalling £237,956. The funding is aimed at supporting those who need to continue providing their services as part of the national coronavirus response.
